FAQ
Information
We're very excited for this league, but there are still some unknowns. As of today, Saturday 10/26, the ice situation is still in flux. I hope to have this solidified shortly. I urge you to not let this deter you from registering if that is a concern. The commitment right now is only $50 and it's fully refundable up until the start of the season on 12/1.
I will do everything in my power to make sure you are on a team that makes the most sense for you based on practice times and locations. If you are not satisfied, you will be refunded your $50.
I am still working on Ice in the South and I have options out West, but I need to see registrations in those areas before I can commit resources there. So again, please sign up!

FAQ
Who is eligible?
All girls in grades 8-12
We may take 7th graders on a case by case basis.
What Team will I play for?
Generally you will play for the team that has the closest practice rink to you.
But we will work with you if you have a preference and space is available at other locations.
If your region does not have a team you can still play for another team.
When does it start?
Tryouts will be the first 2 weeks in December ending with playoffs starting in March ending March 15th
How many games and practices? Playoffs?
We are looking to have 12 or more games.
There will be playoffs in March
What teams will we play?
In addition to league games we will supplement the schedule with games against local area High Schools as well as Hockey Academies.
We have also been in touch with a league from Canada and working through details scheduling some games against them.,
Will there be tryouts?
We are looking at taking at most 18 -20 skaters per team and 2 goalies.
How many girls register will determine if tryouts will be needed as we are capping the number. We will allow for a few practice squad girls who wish to skate and develop.
Will I play?
If you make the team and dress for the game, you will play. Playing time will not be equal, but I expect at minimum 2 shifts per period for every girl. Hopefully more.
Whose coaching?
We are looking to hire outside coaches in most cases.
We will also have a trainer at every game
What's a practice squad player?
This is for someone who either is not looking for a full time position or does not make the team, but would like to skate and continue to develop their skills.
This will be at a greatly reduced cost.
Will there be alternates?
For Goalies, yes.
For players, it will be based on team need. I'd like to avoid them, but they may be necessary.
What rules are you playing under?
For the most part, we will be following USA hockey guidelines. We are not officially under them due to a couple of restrictive rules like not allowing 8th graders to play or only being able to play other USA hockey teams (So no local area High Schools).
We will have delayed offsides.
If you are not under USA hockey are you insured?
Yes, we are fully insured and it's a requirement as an organization to rent ice.
How many refs?
We are looking athaving two refs plus a linesman
Will transportation be provided?
We cannot provide transportation at this time. We looked into busing for away games, but decided against it in the spirit of keeping costs low.
How can I help?
We will need a team parent to help the coaches with some of the day to day management
We have open board positions. The board will meet on the last Monday of every month.
